Ownership and contamination screening
The first screen checks ownership, pooled assets, hazardous residue, prohibited contamination, and material type before any recovery path is considered.
Reuse and repair evaluation
Serviceable pallets may be reused; repairable platforms may be restored where the construction, components, and intended use allow it.
Component recovery
Damaged wood pallets can sometimes supply usable boards or stringer components for appropriate repair work, reducing demand for new material.
Material recycling and disposal
Material that cannot be safely reused may move to a recycling outlet appropriate to wood, plastic, or metal. Contaminated or composite material may require different handling.
